The Cuscino Cushion Halo Studs are halo stud earrings built around a round brilliant centre and a cushion-shaped halo.

A 6.20mm round brilliant centres each stud, framed by a hand-set cushion halo of smaller diamonds, 3.18ct in total in solid gold. The halo widens the look for serious sparkle on a secure stud fitting.

Why the Cuscino Cushion Halo Studs

  • Centre stone and halo: 2 x 6.20mm round brilliants framed by 44 pave diamonds, approx 3.18ct total.

  • Recycled solid gold: made one pair at a time in 9ct or 18ct yellow, white or rose gold.
  • Ethical materials: set with your choice of lab-grown or natural F VS diamonds, in ethical solid gold.
  • Made to order in Australia: hand-made in our Byron Bay Hinterland atelier by Australian goldsmiths, in 4 to 8 weeks.

Frequently asked questions

What is a halo stud earring?
A halo stud frames a centre diamond with a ring of smaller stones, making the centre look larger and adding sparkle. The Cuscino uses a cushion-shaped halo around a round brilliant centre.

What size are these studs?
Each stud has a 6.20mm round brilliant centre with a full halo, about 3.18ct across the pair, an evening-weight size that reads as a clear statement.

Lab-grown or natural diamonds?
Both are offered, all F VS quality. You choose lab-grown or natural, plus your gold colour, at checkout.

How long do they take to make?
Each pair is hand-made to order in our Byron Bay Hinterland atelier, typically within 4 to 8 weeks, with free shipping Australia-wide and a lifetime craftsmanship warranty.

Are lab grown diamonds as good as natural diamonds?
Lab grown and natural diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical. Every Lucano diamond is F VS graded. The only differences are provenance and price: lab grown diamonds cost less for the same colour and clarity grade, while natural diamonds carry geological rarity.
What does F VS mean in your diamond grading?
F is the colour grade, the highest 'colourless' tier just below D and E. VS means 'Very Slightly Included', where inclusions are visible only under 10x magnification and not to the naked eye. Every Lucano diamond meets or exceeds this standard.
Where is Lucano jewellery made and how are your diamonds sourced?
Every piece is hand-made in our Byron Bay Hinterland studio by Australian goldsmiths. Our founder is a member of St Eligio, Università e Nobil Collegio degli Orefici jewellery association established in Rome in 1508. Gold is sourced from ABC Refinery (Australia's only LBMA/SGE/COMEX-accredited independent refiner), and every diamond is traceable, RJC-certified, and comes with full chain-of-custody documentation.
What's the difference between 9ct, 18ct, and platinum settings?
9ct gold is harder and more affordable. 18ct gold has a richer warmth and higher gold content (75%). Platinum is the densest and most durable; it doesn't tarnish and develops a soft patina over time. Every Lucano setting holds your diamond with the same goldsmithing precision.
How long does a Lucano hand-made piece take?
Each piece is hand-made to order in approximately 6 to 8 weeks. You can see your specific production and delivery timeline on the product page.
