Our diamonds are sourced in accordance with internationally recognised ethical standards, including the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), which ensures they are conflict‑free and not used to fund armed conflict. We also align our practices with the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), the leading global authority on responsible jewellery production, covering human rights, labour practices, environmental impact, and supply‑chain transparency.

Yes, we do sell both, as we prefer our customers to have a range of diamond options directly available to them. Our diamond collection separates Natural from Lab Growns, to avoid any confusion. You'll also receive your gem with a certificate clearly stating that it is a lab-grown or a natural diamond

Are lab‑grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Lab‑grown diamonds are 100% real diamonds. They have the same chemical composition, brilliance, and durability as natural diamonds — the only difference is how they’re created.

Every Lucano
piece is hand-made in our Byron Bay Hinterland studio by Australian goldsmiths.
Our founder is a member of St Eligio, Università e Nobil Collegio degli Orefici
jewellery association established in Rome in 1508, and that lineage informs
every angle and finish.

Each piece is hand-fabricated by our in-house team of master goldsmiths in our
Northern Rivers studio. We don't outsource production. The founder's training
at the Università degli Orefici (est. 1508 in Rome) shapes the goldsmithing
techniques used on every commission, adapted to modern materials and ethical
standards.

Yes. Every piece from
gemstone to finished setting. Our gold is sourced exclusively from ABC Refinery
— Australia's only independent refiner with LBMA, SGE, and CME Group COMEX
accreditation. Our suppliers network meets Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC)
standards for human rights, labour practices, environmental impact, and
business ethics. Our diamonds comply with the Kimberley Process Certification
Scheme (KPCS), guaranteeing they are conflict-free.

We source
exclusively from ABC Refinery, Australia's only independent refiner with
simultaneous accreditation from the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA),
Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE), and CME Group COMEX. That triple accreditation is
held by no other Australian independent refiner. Our entire supply chain meets
Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) standards for human rights, labour
practices, environmental impact, and business ethics.

Every Lucano
piece is solid gold or solid platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid
gold means the entire metal is the stated alloy through and through, so the
piece will retain its value, won't wear off, and can be polished or restored
indefinitely. We offer 9ct and 18ct in yellow, white, and rose gold, plus
platinum 950.

9ct gold is
harder, more affordable, and the most popular option for everyday wear. 18ct
gold has a richer warmth and a higher gold content (75%), with a softer feel
suited to occasion pieces. Platinum 950 is the densest and most durable of the
three — it doesn't tarnish and develops a soft patina over time. Every Lucano
setting holds your stone with the same goldsmithing precision regardless of
metal choice.

F is the colour
grade, the highest "colourless" tier just below D and E. VS means
"Very Slightly Included" — inclusions are visible only under 10x
magnification and not to the naked eye. Every Lucano diamond above 0.30ct comes with a GIA for natural or IGI for lab certs.

Carat weight
measures mass, not size. A round brilliant diamond at 0.50 ct measures
approximately 5.2mm in diameter; 1.00 ct measures approximately 6.5mm; 1.50 ct
measures approximately 7.4mm. Halo settings, where the centre stone is framed
by smaller diamonds, increase the face-up appearance of the ring — a 0.50 ct
centre in a halo can read closer to a 0.75 ct solitaire. Most Lucano engagement
rings are available in 0.50, 1.00, and 1.50 ct centre options across both
lab-grown and natural diamonds.

Store each piece
in a pouch to prevent scratches when not worn. Avoid contact with
chlorine, perfume, hand sanitiser, and harsh detergents. Clean gently with warm
water and a soft cloth or a soft brush. For diamond and gemstone pieces, an occasional soak in
mild soapy water restores brilliance. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners on softer
stones or hand-set pavé. We offer professional polishing if you want

Yes. Every Lucano
piece is covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, it's good practice to service your piece every few years, prong tightening, and re-finishing. The warranty covers craftsmanship for the life of the piece. Normal wear, loss, and
accidental damage aren't covered, but we offer paid repair and restoration
services for those cases.

Most Lucano rings
can be resized by our in-house goldsmiths. Eternity bands and certain hand-set
pavé designs have limited resize capacity due to the continuous diamond
setting; we recommend confirming your size carefully at the time of order for
these pieces. Contact us to arrange a resize.

hand-made to order in our Byron Bay Hinterland studio. Typical production time
is 6 to 8 weeks from order confirmation. You can see your specific production
and delivery timeline directly on each product page, with order, production,
and delivery dates shown inline.

Yes. We accept
bespoke commissions for engagement rings, wedding bands, anniversary pieces,
and signature designs. Reach out via our Bespoke page with your reference
images, preferred metal, gemstone preferences, and target budget. Our
goldsmiths will respond with a design concept, quote, and production timeline.
Bespoke pieces are non-refundable once production has commenced.

We ship to
Australia and select international destinations. Delivery within Australia is
fully insured and typically takes 2 to 5 business days from completion.
International delivery times vary by destination and are confirmed at the time
of order. All shipments are tracked and signature-required. Customs duties and taxes may
apply for international orders depending on your country.
