Bamboo Earrings are a pair of faceted gold hoops handcrafted in our Byron Bay Hinterland atelier. Sculpted from solid 9ct yellow gold, these compact hoops swap the usual smooth curve for a clean, faceted silhouette — each angled edge catches the light differently as you move, giving a subtle play of shine that feels modern without being loud.

Sized at just 12.5mm high and 2mm wide, they sit neatly against the lobe — small enough for everyday wear, distinctive enough to stand on their own. The polished finish keeps them bright, while the lever back fitting offers a secure, comfortable close you can put on and forget about.

Every Lucano piece is fully customisable. Contact us for a free consultation or a custom quote — we'll work with you on metal, finish, and any bespoke variation.

A quiet upgrade to your everyday gold rotation, or an easy second-hole companion to bolder pieces.

Frequently asked questions

Are the Bamboo Earrings solid gold?
Yes. Sculpted from solid 9ct yellow gold throughout — not gold-plated or gold-filled. The full piece is solid metal.

What size are they?
12.5mm high and 2mm wide, with a 1.5mm tube. A compact, everyday-wearable size that sits neatly against the lobe.

How is the fitting?
Lever back — a secure, comfortable close that you can put on and forget about. More secure than a standard hook.

How long does it take to make?
Hand-made to order in our Byron Bay Hinterland atelier by Australian goldsmiths. Lead times typically run 4 to 6 weeks. Free shipping Australia-wide once dispatched, with Lucano's lifetime craftsmanship warranty.

Where is Lucano jewellery made?
Every Lucano piece is hand-made in our Byron Bay Hinterland studio by Australian goldsmiths. Our founder is a member of St Eligio, Università e Nobil Collegio degli Orefici jewellery association established in Rome in 1508, and that lineage informs every angle and finish.
What's the difference between 9ct and 18ct gold?
9ct gold contains 37.5% pure gold; 18ct contains 75%. 18ct has a richer warm colour and higher gold value, while 9ct is harder and more durable for everyday wear. Both are solid gold, not plated, and both are RJC-certified at Lucano.
Where do you source your gold?
We source exclusively from ABC Refinery, Australia's only independent refiner with simultaneous LBMA, SGE, and CME Group COMEX accreditation. Our entire supply chain meets Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) standards for human rights, labour, and environmental practice.
How long does a Lucano piece take to make?
Each piece is hand-made to order. Typical production is 6 to 8 weeks, and you can see your specific timeline directly on each product page.
How do I care for my gold piece?
Store in the original pouch to prevent scratches. Avoid contact with chlorine, perfume, and harsh detergents. Clean gently with warm water and a soft cloth. We offer complimentary polishing as part of our lifetime warranty.
